Meet Our Committee
and Run Leaders

Our Committee

The management of the club is carried out by the committee who meet once a month. The committee is voted for by the club membership at the club AGM every May. Any full member of the club can put themselves forward for nomination for any of the eight available positions.

Details of each committee members roles and responsibilities can be found in the Role Descriptions of the Club Constitution under the Documents section.

Our Run Leaders

Alongside our main committee, we have our group of run leaders and coaches who take it in turns to lead the three weekly sessions for our running club in Manchester. Put simply, we wouldn't be able to run our sessions without them! In line with best practice, all of our leaders have undertaken dedicated LiRF (Leader in Running Fitness) or CiRF (Coach in Running Fitness) qualifications from England Athletics. If any members are interested in becoming a run leader, please speak to our coaching officer Chris Barcroft either at a run or by emailing him.

Current Run Leaders and Coaches

As well as our run leaders, members can volunteer to buddy newcomers on Thursday or Saturday runs. This does not require a LiRF or CiRF qualification, and we greatly appreciate the help that these volunteers provide. Members can sign up to be the scheduled buddy by clicking in the Google sheet listed in the relevant Spond pages for each run.
